Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Event Manager to lead complex, high-touch programs from early strategy through onsite execution and post-event wrap-up. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building trusted client relationships, guiding cross-functional teams, and delivering elevated experiences that support our clients’ business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary client lead and strategic partner, building trusted relationships and ensuring all programs align with client objectives, culture, and success metrics.

  • Own the end-to-end planning and execution of large-scale, multi-day corporate events, from initial strategy and concept development through onsite delivery and post-event wrap-up.

  • Lead, mentor, and support project teams, providing clear direction, oversight, and coaching to ensure excellence across all workstreams.

  • Develop comprehensive program strategies, detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with scope, goals, and financial targets.

  • Lead venue sourcing and contracting, including evaluating options, making strategic recommendations, and negotiating and managing all venue and vendor agreements.

  • Plan & execute  all program components, including agenda and content flow, production, audiovisual, food and beverage, décor, transportation, registration, housing, and event technology.

  • Partner closely with creative, production, and AV teams to deliver cohesive storytelling, technical execution, and elevated attendee experiences.

  • Lead the full attendee experience, including event website development, registration strategy and execution, housing management, and onsite check-in, ensuring a seamless and well-supported journey from invitation through departure.

  • Manage executive and speaker logistics, including communications, schedules, content deliverables, run-of-show development, and onsite support.

  • Oversee sponsor and partner activations, ensuring contractual fulfillment, brand alignment, and a seamless attendee experience.

  • Lead onsite execution, serving as the primary point of escalation and ensuring smooth operations, issue resolution, and overall program success.

  • Drive post-event reconciliation, reporting, and debriefs, including financial closeout, performance evaluation, and recommendations for future programs.

  • Stay current on industry trends, venues, technologies, and best practices, bringing forward new ideas and innovations to continually evolve Garnish’s offerings.

What We’re Looking For

8+ years of corporate event experience (agency preferred)

  • Proven client leadership and relationship management.

  • Collaborative team player with a flexible mindset and a willingness to support across roles and responsibilities as needed.

  • Comprehensive understanding of audiovisual and event production, with the ability to partner effectively with technical and creative teams.

  • Extensive knowledge of the hotel and hospitality industry with proven negotiation expertise.

  • Proficiency in event, registration, and attendee engagement platforms, with experience using tools such as Swoogo and Cvent.

  • Proven experience managing complex event budgets, including forecasting, tracking, reconciliation, and financial reporting.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, paired with strong organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Flexibility to travel and work extended or non-traditional hours in support of live events.

  • Must reside in the Northeast, USA, and be willing to travel to Rhode Island and Massachusetts on a monthly basis for team meetings.
